Public BBQ

A large, well-landscaped central playground at Drouin that makes clever use of undulating ground, with a great range of equipment, heaps of slides and swings, and a flat bike circuit right around it, so bikes, scooters and skateboards are close to essential. Three or four separate undercover barbecue areas with tables make a party easy to run here, though they go early, and adults can sit while children occupy themselves. There is a rotunda, walking paths and plenty of shade, and the toilets are very clean and well stocked. The water play is the one underwhelming part, and there is no tap in the park or near the barbecues for washing hands or utensils. Watch where you step, as not everyone picks up after their dog.

Generally No! The BBQs are first come, first serve. However, if you plan on having a larger event then please check with Baw Baw council.

Aussie public BBQs are simple to use. Majority of sites listed on this website are gas or electric BBQs. Simply press the button and it will turn on for a set amount of time (10-20 minutes).

You should first check with Baw Baw council about the rules and restrictions.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
